I don't think I have listened to any 90's album more than Purple. Apart from Pretty Penny every track is out of this world.

I remember the first time I saw their Bieber cover. I thought it was fake; I honestly thought it wasn't possible to do what they were doing without all kinds of overdubs. I later realized I was wrong 😊. Just phenomenal musicians.

Well, this made me realize how great sweden is for musicians. We played instruments at kindergarten. Then from year 1 to 9 (wich is ground school) we did mandatory concerts and shows almost every year and music classes where we got to play like every basic instrument. Then our version of highschool from when we are 16 to 19, we can choose the music line where be basically study music every day for 3 years, get private lessons and get prepared to study music at universities and "collages" or get straight to work. Almost every house in sweden has a guitar or piano.

Wow - I feel no greater pride to be British than when considering the rich history of our music.

I used to put 12s on acoustic because I imagined a lot of scenarios where someone hands me an acoustic which is probably likely to have 12 or 13s, and I didn't want to find it a struggle. In hindsight, nobody ever asked me to play their guitar, I've always had my own guitar with me in situations appropriate to busting out a song. So I've bought a set of 10s today (Ernie ball acoustic extra light, 10-50) and looking forward to easier playing.

Sometimes I get anxious that I might be detaching myself from an overwhelming part of the culture when I listen to a contemporary band like Dirty Loops or Snarky Puppy. It makes me feel like my pursuit of listening to such outstanding musicianship with it's rich complexity of tone and rhythm might be making me an indulgent, effete snob.
